Xamathi/About
Our Story

Started from small frictions
we wished didn't exist

Xamathi is a small workshop building lightweight tools for people who spend their days at a keyboard. No grand corporate ambitions — just sharp, focused utilities that stay out of your way.

The Origin

Spot a problem → Get an itch → Build a tool

It all began with an annoying delay when switching keyboard layouts between Thai and English on macOS: "Tap Caps Lock, start typing, but the first character still comes out in the previous language." Having to backspace and retype dozens of times a day became exhausting.

Existing solutions were either bloated, required invasive background permissions, or phoned home with analytics. We wanted something tiny, private, and local-only.

That became KeyXamathi — and sparked the idea for Xamathi itself.

Craft Philosophy

Principles we build by

🎯

Real Problems Only

We don't build features just to look busy. If a tool doesn't eliminate a tangible everyday headache, it doesn't get made.

🔒

Local-first & Zero Surveillance

Tools should respect personal boundaries. Keystrokes and data stay 100% on your device — no cloud dependencies, no stealth background telemetry.

Quiet & Out of the Way

Sits quietly in the background without noisy popups or pointless notification spam. Launch it once and forget it exists.

🤝

Straightforward

Free means genuinely free. No dark patterns, no fake free trials, no locked basic features. Just honest craft.

The Team

A Solo Craft Project

Xamathi is designed, coded, and maintained by a single independent developer. Staying small lets us move quickly, experiment freely, and focus entirely on tool quality without boardroom politics.

Have a friction worth solving?

Tell us what slows your workflow down. We might just build a tool for it.
