It all began with an annoying delay when switching keyboard layouts between Thai and English on macOS: "Tap Caps Lock, start typing, but the first character still comes out in the previous language." Having to backspace and retype dozens of times a day became exhausting.
Existing solutions were either bloated, required invasive background permissions, or phoned home with analytics. We wanted something tiny, private, and local-only.
That became KeyXamathi — and sparked the idea for Xamathi itself.
