3 Steps to get running

1

Mount .dmg and drag to Applications

Standard Mac app installation. If Gatekeeper prompts about an unrecognized developer, right-click and choose Open.

2

Grant Accessibility Permission

The app will launch an onboarding prompt taking you straight to System Settings.

Why is this required?

KeyXamathi uses Accessibility via CGEventTap to buffer and translate keystrokes during the switch window — this is the only legitimate macOS API for this purpose.

We do not request Input Monitoring permission — it is unnecessary for our functionality.

3

Choose your Switch Shortcut

3 standard presets:

Option 1: Standard Caps Lock — Uses system Caps Lock switching without remapping.
Option 2: Caps Lock → F19 — Remaps Caps Lock to F19 for the lowest possible latency.
Option 3: F19 on External Keyboards Only — Keeps built-in keyboard default while remapping external peripherals.

Select your preference and start typing immediately.

Questions & Answers

FAQ

Is it completely free? Any trials or paywalls?

The core switching and missed-character safety net is 100% free forever. No timed trials, no credit cards, no feature locks on basic functionality.

Does KeyXamathi record my passwords or keystrokes?

Absolutely not. Keystroke buffering happens strictly in volatile memory during the transition window and is never written to disk or sent across the network. You can verify this anytime using tools like Activity Monitor, Little Snitch, or Wireshark.

Which macOS versions are supported?

macOS 13 Ventura, macOS 14 Sonoma, and macOS 15 Sequoia (both Apple Silicon M1/M2/M3/M4 and Intel architectures).

How do I uninstall?

Simply quit KeyXamathi from the menu bar and drag the app from Applications to the Trash. Revoke Accessibility permissions in System Settings whenever desired.
